Depression

“Mental strength is not the ability to stay out of the darkness, it’s the ability to sit present in the darkness knowing the light will shine again.” -Anonymous

Each person's experience of depression is unique. It is important to note that sadness and depression are very different things. While sadness is short term, symptoms of depression will last weeks, months, and in rare cases even years. Generally speaking, some of the symptoms you may experience if you have depression include:

Thinking Man on Couch
  • On-going low energy (not refreshed with sleep)

  • Lack of motivation  and  a loss of interest in things you

       once enjoyed

  • Mood swings, irritability, and anger

  • Ruminating and over-thinking

  • The desire to withdraw and hide-away from the world

  • Body aches and pains as well as headaches

I Can Help You:

  • Investigate possible sources of depression symptoms, including biological, psychological, environmental, situational, spiritual, or a combination of the aforementioned
